Services

  • All categories of members are entitled to borrow books from the Central Library as well as departmental seminar libraries.
  • A Library Management Software SOUL 2.0 (Software for University Libraries) is utilized in library automation. Database of books and journals are also available to all users.
  • Searching of online journals, databases, e-books and internet facilities are also available in the central library and particularly it act as a centre for digital library.
  • The library has a spacious open access reading room with a capacity of 80 students and 10 faculty members at a time. Natural light and air provides the perfect ambience for serious academic activities.
  • Daily Newspapers for students and staff.
  • Circulation is through SOUL (2.0 version) software of UGC-INFLIBNET centre with barcode.
  • Web-OPAC facility is available for searching library documents.
  • Access to current issues and back volumes of journals.
  • Remote access facility of e-resources from N-LIST programme is provided.
  • Reference services are provided to the students and faculty members. The students are guided to consult with reference books available in reference section.

  • Internet service (including downloading facility) is available for library users.
  • Display of new arrivals of books.
  • All the students are provided with the Photocopy (Xerox) and scan facilities of the relevant portion of the books and journals etc., with minimum cost, available in the library.
  • The question papers of all examinations of B.U. and Syllabus of all old & new CBCS courses have been uploaded since 2015 and 2017 respectively in the Institutional repository which may be accesses through library portal of our college website (www.vmharipal.ac.in|).
  • Library wall magazine “PATHSHALA” is published in every year.
  • Facility of taking books against deposit money till the University Examination is over.
  • Best Reader's award for the students.
  • Library facility (Reading Room) is available for the members and students of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
  • A CD-ROM database has been provided.
  • Digitization of rare text is to be initiated very soon.
  • Library plays a vital role to make the students self-supporting and employment opportunities in various sectors through various competitive examinations.
